has been an integral part of my life for over 20 years, and I can't imagine
pursuing anything else. This year, I proudly celebrate my 17th year with
House of Travel Papamoa, where I truly love being a 'hottie.' Our store boasts
a fantastic team culture that makes coming to work a joyful experience every
day.
I find immense satisfaction in crafting bespoke itineraries that
transform my clients' dreams into reality. While the USA remains my favourite
destination, my travels have also taken me through the stunning landscapes of
New Zealand, the enchanting South Pacific, vibrant Australia, diverse Europe,
and picturesque Canada and Alaska. This year (2024), I had the incredible
opportunity to experience the magic of South Africa, where witnessing wildlife
in their natural habitat is nothing short of breath-taking. Being on safari
brings you so close to majestic animals, just meters away, creating
unforgettable memories.
Remember, your holiday begins the moment you step through our
door. I invite you to share your vision of the perfect getaway—how it looks and
feels, any research you've conducted, and your essential must-haves. The more
we delve into your aspirations together, the more extraordinary your holiday
will be!

Travel has been a constant in my life since my OE started with a classic Contiki trip through Europe, followed by working in London and traveling through the UK, Turkey, Egypt, and Israel. I also spent a year working in Iceland—a now trendy travel hotspot—before returning to New Zealand.
In 2000, my family moved to the middle east living in both Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, which provided an exciting base for exploring nearby destinations. We had unforgettable holidays in Austria, France, the UK, Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, and Kenya.
Returning to New Zealand marked a new chapter of travel, this time without children. Recent adventures have included Vietnam, India, China, Peru, and Cambodia.
My travel career started with Singapore Airlines and since 2019 I’ve been consulting at House of Travel in Howick. I love talking and connecting with clients, listening to their travel dreams and turning them into memorable experiences.
Whether you're looking for an island getaway, relaxing cruise or an exciting adventure, I’m here to help you plan the perfect trip.
Travel is an adventure that brings the world to life.

I have been in the Travel Industry for over 10 years, starting off primarily selling Australia, then moving to House of Travel in the Product Department where I was for 4 years as a South Pacific Destination Expert. In April 2023, I was given an opportunity to work here at House of Travel Ellerslie in a retail role. Here I have discovered a love of creating and curating holidays for all types of travellers to ensure they have the best possible experiences while there.

Where to stay in Samoa?
Samoa offers a range of accommodation, from the unique experience of sleeping in an open-air traditional fale (thatched hut) on the beach to the comfort of air-conditioned resorts consisting of hotel rooms and villas. Stay in Apia at Tanoa Tusitala Hotel or Taumeasina Island Resort located in town and close to Apia markets, restaurants and bars or venture out to the south coast of Upolu and stay at Return to Paradise Resort & Spa or Saletoga Sands Resort & Spa and discover the natural beauty of the famous and popular To Sua Ocean Trench. Break your stay and visit Savai’i via ferry – Savai’I is Samoa’s largest island and renowned for its traditional way of life, natural beauty and lava fields. Many resorts include a weekly Fiafia night (Cultural night) with traditional dancing and Samoan cuisine.
What should I pack for my trip to Samoa?
Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and sunglasses. Include comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for cooler evenings and modest clothing for visiting villages and cultural sites.

Where is the best place for snorkelling in Samoa?
Samoa offers excellent snorkelling spots, with the best being around Lalomanu Beach on Upolu and the reefs surrounding Manase Beach on Savai'i. Piula Cave Pool is a natural freshwater pool by the sea. Fish swim within these cave pools, so be sure to carry your snorkelling gear to admire them as they dart around you. Best of all, you can paddle into the caves themselves and if you stay near the edge of the cave you can look back at the pools reflecting the clouds in their water as you gaze through the natural archway entrance of the dark caves.

In Samoa, you can use taxis, buses, and shuttle services to get around. Buses are a budget-friendly option, while taxis offer more convenience. Cycling is also a great way to leisurely explore Samoa, whether you are an enthusiast shipping over your own bike or just want to hire a bike and take off with your togs and a map and go exploring for a day.
For inter-island travel, ferries operate regularly between Upolu and Savai'i.

Experience the local buses, these colourful vehicles often run on island time but a great way to get around and chat with the locals. Check out the wetlands sanctuary at Satoalepai village in Savaii and go for a dip with some magnificent Green Sea Turtles. You may see other marine life when you're out on a dive.
